JiuZhiTang® (Zuguang Powder) is an over-the-counter topical traditional Chinese medicine used to clear heat and dry dampness, kill parasites, and reduce sweating. It is indicated for keratotic tinea pedis and bromhidrosis caused by damp-heat accumulation in the lower body.

Mechanism: The formulation contains salicylic acid, benzoic acid, boric acid, and Sophora flavescens. It is traditionally used to clear heat and dry dampness, kill parasites, and reduce excessive sweating.

How to use ?

Recommended Dose: For external use only. Dissolve 40 g in 1,000–1,500 mL of boiling water, or 20 g in 500–750 mL of boiling water. Allow the solution to cool to a suitable temperature and soak the affected area for 20–30 minutes once daily. Three consecutive days constitute one course.

Time: Three consecutive days constitute one course.

Instructions for use: For external use only; do not take orally. Do not use on broken skin or allow contact with the eyes, mouth, or other mucous membranes. For the first use, observe the affected area for 3 days for adverse reactions. If tolerated, treatment may be continued for up to 3 applications as directed. Seek medical attention if symptoms do not improve.

Interaction: If used concomitantly with other medicines, drug interactions may occur. Consult a physician or pharmacist before use.

Side effects: Occasional contact dermatitis may occur, with severe dermatitis rarely reported. Increased peeling of the affected skin after use may occur and generally resolves spontaneously within several days.
