Indication & Scope
Hympavzi® Marstacimab Injection provides routine prophylaxis to reduce bleeding frequency in patients with hemophilia A or B aged 12 years and older weighing ≥35 kg.
- Mechanism: Fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody that specifically binds tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI). It blocks TFPI’s endogenous anticoagulant activity, restores physiological blood coagulation cascade and reduces spontaneous bleeding events without factor replacement.
- Drug class: Anti-TFPI monoclonal antibody / Hemophilia prophylactic biological agent.
- Clinical use: Long-term preventive treatment for adolescents and adults with hemophilia A/B, with or without clotting factor inhibitors, to lower annualized bleeding rate.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Loading dose: 300 mg subcutaneous split into two 150 mg injections on day 1; maintenance dose 150 mg once weekly starting 7 days after loading injection.
Time: Weekly subcutaneous injection, fixed same day each week, no meal restriction on timing.
Instructions for use: Inject subcutaneously at separate abdominal or thigh sites for loading dose two injections; rotate injection locations weekly; adjust to 300 mg weekly if bleeding control remains insufficient.
Interaction: Concurrent activated prothrombin complex concentrates raise thrombotic risk; monitor coagulation markers when combined with bypassing agents for breakthrough bleeds.
Side effects:
1. Common: injection site pruritus, headache, mild fever, joint pain, diarrhea, skin rash.
2.Severe rare adverse events: venous or arterial thrombosis, hypersensitivity anaphylaxis.
