XiWang® (Selenium Sulfide Lotion) is an over-the-counter topical medicine indicated for dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp, and pityriasis versicolor.
- Mechanism: Selenium sulfide reduces sebaceous activity and has antifungal and keratolytic effects, helping reduce scalp flaking and fungal overgrowth.
- Drug class: Topical antifungal and antiseborrheic agent.

How to use ?
Recommended Dose: Dandruff/scalp seborrheic dermatitis: Apply 5–10 g to wet hair and scalp, lather, leave for 3–5 minutes, then rinse. Use twice weekly for 2–4 weeks. Pityriasis versicolor: Apply an appropriate amount to affected areas, leave for 10–30 minutes, then rinse. Use twice weekly for 2–4 weeks.
Time: Twice weekly.
Instructions for use: Shake well before use. Rinse thoroughly after application. Avoid use within 2 days after dyeing or perming hair.
Interaction: Potential drug interactions may occur. Consult a physician or pharmacist if using other medicines.
Side effects: May occasionally cause contact dermatitis, dry skin or scalp, and hair discoloration. Irritation, itching, redness, or burning may occur.
